Puck's Hat
During a study abroad with the Rutgers Conservatory at Shakespeare's Globe, students were challenged to make fascinators based on Shakespeare's characters. This hat was inspired by Puck from A Midsummer Night's Dream. Blending the whimsical fairy world with the natural habitat of the forest. Elements of the earth are present with the leafy shapes and moss texture. While the gold detailing and silk shine hint towards Puck's more playful and mischievous side. References to different flowers mentioned in the work are scattered about.
The work was on display at Shakespeare's Globe.
